Ducati 916Review date: 2008-03-25 Rating: 8 out of 10Recommended for all serious 9xx enthusiasts, but for a book entitled Ducati 916 there was too much padding: up to 40% of the text covers 851, 888, Tricolore, Monster, STs, and even 748s etc. All this background stuff I could find duplicated in any one of the many other Falloon books I own. After 14 years of the 9xx, I was hoping this would be the definative text, it's not.
Reviews
A thorough history of THE sports motorcycle of the 90s.Review date: 2002-01-03 Rating: 10 out of 10A very thorough book from one of the marque's leading pundits. It covers the 916 and all its derivatives through to the 2001 models, along with a brief history of its predecessors.
Falloon is happier than some writers to highlight the bikes' faults and Ducati's problems over the years - making for a quite balanced view for someone with such a strong Ducati history - although the bikes are generally described in a very positive light. And, as with all his books it is very well written, and has a range of excellent photographs.Recommended for all fans of Ducati, especially those who own one of the 916 family and wish to learn more about this amazing machine.
